How to get the hotel from the airport?
The airport of Dakar is situated approximately at 10 km from the hotel. You can take a taxi, which costs approximately 3000 F.CFA. during the day and 4000 F.CFA. at night.
If you wish to go straight to the Farid Hotel after your arrival at Dakar airport, the only thing you have to do is to ask for it and give all the information required when booking. Thus, a taxi will be sent by the hotel services and the driver will wait for you with a notice and will be in charge of your luggage as soon as you're out of the airport.

Bus Station : Ask for "Les Pompiers"
It is the "official" bus station of Dakar. It is also the biggest. It offers a number of astounding national and international destinations. The choice of vehicles is also the best: taxis seven places, minibuses, buses 35, 45 or 55 places. Situated at the exit of the city center, the bus station will allow you to avoid the gigantic traffic jams of Lamine Gueye or Blaise Diagne.
Numerous small shopkeepers sell what to assure your needs during the journey: cool drinks, biscuits, mineral water, water in bag, fruits such as bananas, mangoes groundnuts, newspapers, piles for your Walkman and some trinkets. Think, if you travel far, to take what you need. Know however that during the various stops (provisioning in gas, breaks, breakdowns), you will have the occasion to buy what to drink and to eat.
